About 27 Circle Foundation

A 501(c)(3) education nonprofit helping neighbors build their neighborhoods. Our first labs are in Eloy, Arizona.

How it works

  1. A local leader hosts a lab.
  2. Neighbors join the waitlist, and the host makes sure it’s a fit.
  3. What each lab learns shapes the next.

The Story

27 Circle Foundation was started by Ebra Yavari to help people learn and grow together in small, close-knit groups.

In every neighborhood, a few people bring everyone together. The foundation was created to make their work easier with simple tools, so more people can take it on.

Ebra came to Desert Rose, a community learning center in Eloy, Arizona, to learn alongside a real community. There he met Flora and Danny, parents of a two-year-old. Their way of raising their child was too valuable not to share. Together they started 27 Circle Foundation’s first lab, Mothers of Newborns, led by Flora.

In 2021, Ebra started a Bay Area community for young adults that brought hundreds of people together in person. Before that, he worked in supply chain and operations at Google, Apple, Tesla, and Nuro. He holds an MBA from Yale and an engineering master’s from Georgia Tech. He now works full time at the foundation.
